Speculation about Battlestar's finale [SPOILER WARNING]
|
People online have been speculating - apparently with the help of some inside sources - about what planet the Galactica crew have actually landed on, and how it fits into Cylon mythology. Now, this might all be nonsense. But if any of it is true, this could spoil the coming finale of Battlestar Galactica for you, so read on at your peril. We're indebted to io9 for this summary, so head over there for details, links and pictures. To avoid accidentally spoiling it for you we've rendered it in white, you'll need to highlight it with your cursor to find out what people are saying about the journey to Earth. It's thought that the planet the Galactica crew found is a different planet "Earth," but the survivors of a disaster there journeyed elsewhere and founded a new planet, which they also called Earth - that's the world we live on now. Apparently there are scenes from the final episode where Six is seen walking through Times Square, New York, present day. There was a promo shot of somebody looking very much like Six posing in modern-day New York, but it was dismissed as a publicity shoot, until these rumours surfaced. Anyway, there you have it. There are plenty of rumours and opinions floating around at the moment, and the cast remain tight lipped. What do you think is going to happen? Thoughts in the comment thread below. |

More interesting is the fact another actor from the series is in the same shot. Hmm.

Well, the spoiler does tell us how the show ends and what the last scene is. That is kind of a spoiler. It doesn't tell us how we get there or exactly what it means, sure, but it does re-open up a lot of additional questions about the series and how its events relate to our world and time period, especially after the final episode of Season 4.0 seemed to close that debate.
