Sam Raimi Enters World Of Warcraft

The current plan is that it will be the director’s next film after Spider-Man 4. The Dark Knight’s Charles Roven is on board as producer. World Of Warcraft is a global phenomenon, featuring an epic battle between the Horde and the alliance in a world of magic and people with pointy ears (not Vulcans). It was launched in 1994, and continues to to sell strongly; the most recent expansion pack sold over 4 million units within a month. "At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story," Raimi said in a statement. |











Sam Raimi has signed on to direct a big screen version of the legendary fantasy role playing game, World Of Warcraft for Warners, reports

I am afraid I have some misgivings over this - films based on games have a notorious habbit of going t*ts up.
Still, if anyone can inspire confidence in a fantasy film it's Sam Raimi.
