I really cant wait for the new trek film - I was hoping to get a trailer before the bond film but guess the USA will get it first but i think its going to be a stunning film!

It'll be good to have Kirk and Spock back - PROPER Trek! Not all of this Next-Degeneration-Klingon-tea-ceremony crap!

Old school, boys' own sci-fi heroes, re-invented for a new generation.

It worked really well with Doctor Who.

Bearing in mind the amount of contradictions and mistakes they have made with this film from established Trek lore, i can't say i'm that excited about this. This isn't proper trek, that was the original cast not this pretty looking but not looking anything like the people there are supposed to be bunch.

The one good thing about this film is ILM are doing the visuals so the effects will be top notch!!!

I have been really looking forward to this movie since it was announced, the fact that the crew wear black tops with the starfleet tunic being a v-neck pullover doesn't bother me, not sure about Kirk wearing black and not his starfleet uniform though, what I do not like from the photographs that have been released so far is the look of the enterprise bridge, I know the series was made in the sixties and as such was a large part of my youth so I should really wait until I see the trailer/movie before I make judgment, as an avid fan since I first saw it in the Seventies if they had decided to re-imagine the franchise (as is being done more and more) the changes would not have bothered me at all, but as it is definetly a prequal and has one of the original cast involved to confirm this, I do feel they should not screw around too much, haveing said that i am still waiting with bated breath as like Dr Who I love all the incarnations of Trek so far (yes even Enterprise and Voyager).

After watching the last Mission Impossible movie I do think this should be a brilliant movie, I hope I am not wrong, so give Mr Abrams a chance and remember how wrong a lot of people were about the new Dr Who series and Casino Royale.

the new bridge kind of makes me think of the ipod touch. which i think will date it far faster than the original buttons and dials!
