New Doctor Who trailer online

The Doctor went to America at the weekend, as the new trailer for the next Who special, "The Waters of Mars", got its world premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con.

But don't fret if you weren't on the west coast of the US over the weekend. You can catch the clip here on the BBC website, and we reckon you'll be impressed. Be intrigued by talk about fixed point in time, debate the meanings of the prophecy at the end of "Planet of the Dead" as the Doctor ponders what someone knocking four times has to do with his demise, and get very, very scared about water. You might never take a bath again...

And after all the rumours and the sightings on set, it was also confirmed at Comic-Con that John Simm's Master will be returning for the final specials of Tennant's reign. Looks like the Tenth Doctor's going to get one hell of a send off.

Based on that clip it looks like the Doctor has actually figured out what the four knocks is likely to be, and who he has to watch out for.
It's refreshing, as that YANA thing caught him out hugely, despite lots of warnings. The great thing is that hopefully the Doc is storing up back up plans to fight the Master when he returns, but of course the big irony?

The Doc still dies.

A real shame, based on this showing Smith has a near impossible performace to beat. This REGENERATION SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!

Knew Simms was in the finale months ago, can't wait and 'Waters' looks brilliant. Still can't except Tennant is going, not until i see it at christmas/New year. Mr smith you have so much pressure on you.........

Can someone please explain to me why it is that every time I want to watch something from the BBC-site I get "Not available in your area" instead of the trailer or whatever. I know I'm not a citizen of the UK but what's the story behind this? I don't get it....

Poekie: BBC stuff is only available in the UK, because it's all paid for through British TV licence fees. That's why there are different sites for stuff that's shown on BBC America (but I think that's only accessible in the US).

Thanks for the link 'the Master', as usual RTD gets it spot on, it's about time some of these older fans, who should know better, started getting some perspective - it's a TV show primarily aimed at children.

As for the trailer, looks good, lots of forboding and looks genuinely frightening for the kidlings. Now it's time for me to hide away for the next few months to avoid any more of these nasty spoilers!

I'll have to take your word for it.
Johny foreigner is not allowed to view Iplayer.

A year ago the BBC promised to be working on an international version of the player, but auntie changed her mind...

We pay for the bbc through our own license.
