Interesting - I'm not really seeing any love for this film anywhere . Is it possible that the many years of press attention and mystery have already been let down by the reality? After all , this has been trumpeted as the film that will make CGI characters believeable, and OK we haven't seen the finished product yet on the screen , but the internet previews don't seem to be showing us anything that can't be seen on a PS3 or XBox360 .

You have seen these trailers/scenes on a PC screen, not in a theater.

If there is going to be a failing in the movie, it will be a result of a poor script, not the production design or visuals.

I am looking forward to seeing this film, but I am too old to buy this 'the film is overhyped' crap, especially when the film is being set up to take a fall by the media. It's clearly a case of 'we made you and we can break you'.

As a rule I'm not really interested in the press "lift em up and knock em down games". And I will agree as I said in my previous post that we haven't seen this on the big screen. However a PC screen these days is quite capable of displaying a decent image and a moderately acceptable amount of quality, yes, I know that there is no substitute for a cinema screen, but if you are going to mix live action with CGI then comparisons can be made between the images on whatever medium you are viewing them on . Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed James Camerons' work, but the trailers for this don't do anything for me at all. The point I was making was that there seems to be a distinct amount of either apathy or outright contempt for this film already and that its lenghty gestation period may mean that the alternative interactive medium may already be in the same ball park in terms of animated quality which might be robbing it of its WOW factor.
