Dushku on Dollhouse
Sci Fi Wire has posted a new interview with Dollhouse sat Eliza Dushku: “There's been pressure since the day we announced it, and there's been naysayers since the day we announced it, and, at this point I just can't wait for the show to get on the air and for people to see it. Regardless of the hype and what people are saying, why don't people see it, and then they can decide what they feel? But I feel confident, because it's on the page, recorded on the stage, and it's working. And we're having a great time. Each episode is more and more intricate, and the story's unfolding.”

Is Heroes Pushing Daisies?
According to Entertainment Weekly ex-Pushing Daisies showrunner Bryan Fuller is finding jobs for his old cast on Heroes, the fortunes of which everyone’s hoping he'll turn around. Apparently, he’s written an episode due to air in April, which has a role especially, created for Swoosie Kurtz, who was Lily Charles in the now-defunct show. Apparently the role has recurring character potential.

Meanwhile, Heroes producer Mark Verheiden has told Comic Book Resources that some internet criticism does sting: “ was reading somewhere where someone suggested that, 'well they must not care about the show.' [laughs] Critique it all you want. You can have all the issues you want, but in terms of caring I'm telling you we care about the show. Not just the writers, not just the producers, the cast, the enormous crew, everyone. It's a little absurd ... You don't stay in the office until midnight and work seven days a week and all this stuff because you're just knocking it out ... everybody who's there is killing themselves to make the best show possible. You can't fault us for lack of trying."

Demons Down
The second episode of Demons lost almost one million viewers. After debuting with 5.75 million viewers, it fell to 4.83 million viewers this past Saturday. Now, to be fair, most shows lose viewers after their publicity-fuelled opening nights, but when your opening night figures aren't exactly stellar, you don’t want to see falls like that.

Mark Verheiden is in the office till midnight seven days a week? Doing what? Counting paperclips? He sure aint reading Heroes' scripts or he'd bin 'em.

Heroes is on it's last legs with rumours of cast members wanting to leave, the term 'rats leaving a sinking ship' comes to mind. The axe is circling, no surprise it's pants. And Demons is complete rubbish, Another failure from ITV to try and compete with Dr Who's success. Thought they would have learnt their lesson from the dire Primeval.

2 shows which won't be on this time next year IMO.

Has SFX Online's 'Seven Days Later' section gone for good? It was last officially here on the 8th December, then came back for 2 x-mas specials - now nothing. Sorry to moan, but I found it very useful as I tend to miss / forget when shows are on - and with the current breaks for various shows on tvat the moment I'm worried I'll miss something starting again. Any info would be most welcome. (and as a subscriber - the latest mag is great - thanks)

Not surprised the audience for Demons has slackened off - that show sucks buckets!

Seven Days Later still exists, it will be updated in due course - our news ed is just getting back into the routine of things after the Christmas viewing guides.

I quite like Primeval

I enjoy Primeval too, not too taxing & silly fun on a Saturday night. Demons' first ep was pants, the second was better although had faults. If they could get Glensiter to drop that daft accent & get rid of the very annoying Ruby it could be OK. Feels very dumbed down though

Primeval - good.
Demons - bad.

I sure hope Heroes doesn't get the axe, it's a brilliant show and unlike a lot of people who jump on the band wagon once a show's ratings start to drop I for one am going to stick with it for as long as it lasts. The writing is great, the acting superb and although it's had a few teething problems over the last few series (mostly I think because the first series was such a huge hit and then they struggled to live up to the pressure and hype that instant success brings) I think it's one of the best pieces of SciFi television out there. Look at Lost for example, it was hugely popular when it first came out but over time lost viewers and respect due to it's complicated plots and slow pacing but recent reviews have been very positive that it's now back on track and viewers are finally being rewarded with quality stories and the answers they've craved.

Long may Heroes continue I say!

Oh, and I agree with Barry Smith. The current issue is the best ever, I nearly wet myself with fanboy excitement when I opened my subscription and saw Wolvie on the front cover, more comic themed covers like this in future please (how about celebrating Marvel's 70th anniversary?)

Heroes hasn't lived up to the hype. and there is one very good reason. There's too much, the actors are great but NO ONE has enough time to develop. A little bit with Sylar there an bit of Peter. other than some glairing exeptions theres nothing changing

Demons likewise has potential but it is squandered by bad writing and hack scripts that behave more like a tick list for why Buffy was good

As for Dollshouse, the last two have proved that Hype means nothing without a strong base. It's the Fox network's history for canceling Wheadon's shows that has people on the fence. Let us see the damn show before we make a decision
