K9 and Co
|
A new publicity pic for the upcoming Australian-made series starring Doctor Who’s metal mutt gives us a first glimpse of his "assistants" Starkey, Jorjie and Darius (worryingly described in the press release as "an artful dodger – worrying, because that's how they described Adric when he was introduced). Apparently, when K9 first appears he looks like the robot we know from Doctor Who, but that version is destroyed he regenerates into the new souped-up, Dyson-style K9. 26 half-hour episodes are being produced. |

Hmm, I seem to remember hearing about there being something about a "space gypsy" and another character, and that it would be set on their ship. they have set it on modern day earth or something now...

I seriously think that this show will be lame. The cast are all good and look like the perfect versions of teens. Good role models for kids however i still don't think this show will run past its 2nd episode. Seriously all they needed was the original K-9 look!

Doesn't look retro anymore, no tartan collar.
K9 appeared in this year's comic relief mini episode of Sarah Jane Adventures, does that mean if they make S3 he will be updated also, hope not.

No, this won't happen, they are different models of K9. The one in this series is apparently the original one, as departed with Leela, and never met Sarah Jane.
