A great writer...
Prey and State of Fear were the best PAGE TURNERS I've ever read.

RIP!

Truly sad news. I'm upset by the loss of one of my favourite authors.
Respect to the man and condolences to his family.

And let's not forget that he inspired the brilliant Andromeda Strain (original version).

Gutted.
Had a lull of not reading a book for about 3 years. Discovered Michael Crichtons works (partly due to Jurassic Park) and started reading again.

Jurassic park was the first adult book i read when i was at school. If it wasnt for Mr. Crichton i would still be waiting to see a film where at the end the audience got up and clapped. God bless the man who not only created E.r and many good books but also created some of the most memorable times of my cinematic life. R.I.P Mr. Crichton.
