Robert Carlyle On The Next Stargate
Sci Fi Wire has an interview with Trainspotting actor Robert Carlyle about his starring role in the upcoming Stargate Universe: "I think this one, while it's retaining the features that made the other ones successful, hopefully, it's slightly different in the respect that this is about a struggle for survival. The guys, everyone's been transferred onto this massive spaceship, the Destiny. They think it's actually a planet, because it's so big. The Destiny is where the story then really takes off, and it's how these guys survive. ... Simple things like life support, air ... The first three episodes are called "Air," the struggle to breathe; "Water," that's another title; "Fire" is another; "Earth" is another. So there's something quite basic about it. There's not so much, maybe, alien interaction. It's maybe a bit more drama this time, a bit more character-driven." Hmmm, character driven? Or credit crunch TV, perhaps?

Major Doctor Who Special News
Okay, it is in The Sun so you have a right to be suspicious, but The Sun has had a good record of "leaked" Who stories that turn out to be (at least partially) true. So click here if want major spoilerage, and if you want to discuss it, remember that people who don’t want to be spoiled read the comments section below as well.

People just seem to block out all the ones they get wrong and remember the few they get right.
Harriet Jones as the Queen Dalek, anyone?

1) Wolverine trailer is awesome, although they seem to have altered Gambit's power a little - looks cool though, so I guess I can let the details slide a little...

2) If that Dr Who spoiler is true, I'll be disappointed. Very much so.

Agree with shinysavage. If the Who spoiler is true then what a disappointment.

The Doctor Who thing could be anything, they could just be appearing in a companion flashback when the Doctor regenerates? Lets not start the RTD hate campaign (again!) on a few words from a lazy journo at the Sun. For once can people try to keep thinks in perspective?

Not happy about the 'companions' bit, but the villain...

First reaction - cool!

Second reaction - erm, how? didn't they kill hm off?

@ Naysayer. I didn't say anything about RTD... I wouldn't like the idea if Moffat, or Cornell, or any other writer pulled it (assuming it's true, which we don't know yet). Can I take this oppurtunity to make clear that I do think RTD is a pretty decent writer, most of the time (The Christmas Invasion, Tooth and Claw, Midnight, and Turn Left being stand outs)
