Pulitzer Winning Writing for Spidey 4
A writer who won a Pulitzer Prize for his 2006 stage play Rabbit Hole has taken over the scripting chores on Spider-Man 4, reports The Hollywood Reporter. David Lindsay-Abaire reckons that his work tends to be "peopled with outsiders in search of clarity," which pretty much sums up Peter Parker.
Our Last Best Hope for a Forbidden Planet Remake
SFX’s old sparring partner, Babylon 5 creator J Michael Straczynski, is having a stab at the script for the Joel Silver-produced remake of ’50s sci fi classic Forbidden Planet, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Pushing Daisies May Not Be Resurrected
According to an interview with Pushing Daisies’ Kristen Chenoweth (Olive Snook) reprinted on TV.com Pushing Daisies could be facing cancellation, as the network has not ordered any more episodes (as yet): "It looks like we could possibly not be getting picked up. We have not gotten our order for the back nine [episodes] yet. We finish November 12, and if we don't get any more news, then that means we're done. We just don't know what's going on. It's the not knowing that is driving everybody crazy. We're still doing our show and keeping positive, but I think deep down people just want to know."

I really hope they continue with Fringe as well. I love that show and Josh Jackson is a delight to watch. Not sure about the lead character though, she seems a bit plain Jane. Maybe they should replace her with Hilary Swank.
Does Spiderman 4 really need to be made?

And Forbidden Planet (though great) didn't create ideas like teleportation and FTL travel anymore than Star Trek did, my fellow fanboys and girls.
