Doctor Who soundtrack CD coming soon

accompanying text
A CD of the music from the new series is finally coming out - on the Silva Screen label on 4 December. Hurray!

Now, yours truly had a bit of a pop at Murray Gold way back when, when I reviewed "Rose". You know that skittery piece of music with the twangy sixties guitar? Kind of like coffee-table drum and bass crossed with The Shadows? The bit of music that's all over "Rose"? Sorry, not keen.

Of course, that turned out to be the only Murray Gold composition I didn't like. Everything since then has been ace. Particularly all that scary choir stuff for the Dalek fleet and "Song For Ten" (the song that featured at the end of "The Christmas Invasion"). Lesson learned: never make snap judgments, because Sod's Law means you'll end up looking like a horse's ass.

Anyhow, "Song For Ten" will be included on the CD, as will his version of the theme tune and a new song called "Love Don't Roam", which will feature in this year's Xmas special, "The Runaway Bride".

You've completely failed to mention the presence of Neil Hannon/The Divine Comedy on 'Love Don't Roam' and a cover of 'Song For Ten'.

How many versions of the theme will there be? I.e. will we get the studio-produced series 1 piece and the series 2 orchestral version? (I like both!)
