B5 Blasts Back

Want to catch a glimpse of the resurrected Babylon 5? You're in luck. A trailer has just materialised for Babylon 5: Lost Tales, the first direct-to-DVD return to J Michael Straczynski's sprawling cosmic saga. Set in 2272, the first chapter is titled "Voices in the Dark" and presents two linked storylines: Sheridan makes a presidential return to Babylon 5 and becomes embroiled with the Centauri Prince Regent, while Colonel - formerly Captain - Lochley ends up entangled with a seemingly supernatural phenomenon. Head to Babylon 5: Lost Tales.

Bring back Marcus Cole! :p

Glad to hear B5 is making a return. When it was good, it was very very good.

No Delenn in this since she's stuck on an island.

sigh... I wish we could get Susan Ivanova back too.
I agree with Darth Hoob. B5 at its best was as good as TV science fiction gets.

C'mon guys - this isn't news. This trailer has been on the B5 site for weeks.

Looks great, though.

No matter what they do with this, no Ivanova and no G'kar.
Deep sigh.
When it was good, it was very, very good though.
Here's hoping...

This series never got decent ratings and ran out of decent plot by the time it reached the end of the third series, yet we had to put up with 2 more dire seasons. Then we had the ill fainted Crusade which was axed even before the first series was finished, then the TV movies which came and went without anyone noticing. Talk about flogging a dead horse.

Bad idea, and i bet the CGI is as bad and fake as ever.

Much prefered DS9 which was well made, well written, dark, gritty, has fantastic special effects and pounded B5 in the ratings every week.

As Good as DS9 was ( my favourite star trek show )
Babylon 5 was groundbreaking. who cares if the effects now seem dire, and some writing was sloppy, the show had passion , and heart - and it introduced the yanks to Continuity , a show that progressed forward week by week. witout B5 we wouldnt have shows like Lost, Heroes , 24 etc.

I am Very much looking forward to this release - Welcome Back Bruce and Tracy - although i do agree about Ivanova - bring her Back, and jerry Doyle , hell bring em all back, Except the Recently deceased of course.

After watching this trailer it makes me want to pull out all my old B5 DVDs and watch em all over.
