Avatar Pic

In a feature about 3D filmmaking, The New York Times has published a new behind-the-scenes pic from James Cameron's much anticipated, $200 million-budgeted Avatar. As the article points out, it's going to take a major film like this to convince cinemas that it's worth paying for the costly upgrades needed so that they can show this new generation of 3D films.

is everyone fucking blind or does the 3D that's been shown in cinema's so far hasn't been good enough. Until it actually works, without having the occasional glitch, i'm gonna file this under epic fail.

Seriously, the glasses are too small.

I'm just curious about the "lauded" behind-the-scenes image. Looks to me like James Cameron is standing in the commentary box at a football stadium with an odd looking TV camera in the foreground...but hey, perhaps I lack imagination, or sight,

I saw Beowulf in 3D and was completely sold - it worked perfectly. i just hope that a truly great (as, actually a decent film in its own right) 3D film comes along soon
