Apes Invade London

As you may already know (if not, check out our review here), a new Blu-ray box set of the Planet of the Apes movies came out this week. To publicise the release, 20th Century Fox kitted out some people in full ape/gorilla/orangutan make-up and costumes, and sent them marauding around the streets of London. The resulting photos are quite cute - here are a few of our favourites!

lol, these are great. Reminds me of that classic Simpsons episode where Try McCluer is asked to play the human in Planet of the Apes the musical, which in my opinion is the second best Planet of the Apes show.

'Stop the Planet of the Apes, I want to get off'

"I hate every ape I see, from chimpan A to chimpanzee, you'll never make a monkey out of me.

Oh my God, I was wrong, it was earth, all along. You finally made a monkey out of me !"

Brilliant.

lol, that's is some gimpressive knowledge of that episode Russell.

I really hope someone makes that into a real musical. Maybe the BBC should use it as the basis for their next "How do you solve a probleml ike Maria" style Show. I can imagine the Lloyd Webber getting involved in this.

Wow! These look like a real thing, even down to the facial similarity. Wonderful, excellent job 20th Century Fox!
