ABC Halts Production On Flash Forward

According to The Hollywood Reporter ABC has paused production on Flash Forward for a week. But it’s nothing to worry about, says the network: a six-day hiatus had always been built into the show's schedule, a spokesman said: “They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so.”

Has nothing at all to do with the ratings going rapidly south, then?

Please, no. They haven't reinvented the wheel here or anything, but it's a gripping story and it would be really sad if it got cancelled. C'mon, guys, have some faith in the power of a good story!

Would be a shame to see it go, I think its a cracking show

I hope it doesn't get cancelled. It's got a decent story, one that is reasonabley intelligent.

It's a fucking dreadful show that completley wastes an interesting premise. The focus is consistently put on the least interesting and most pointless area of exploration for the concept.

Just let this piece of shit die.

FlashForward is nothing exceptional but it's good enough. It just didn't live up to expectations. If it sees out this flash i'll be happy but i won't hold my breath waiting for season 2.

I loved the idea when I first heard about this show,I've watched every episode, and the ongoing Mosaic investigation is quite gripping. But I'll admit to becoming slightly bored and irritated by all the "We can't do anything about the futre" wailing fatalism most of the characters bleat out almost incessantly. Have these people never watched Star Trek or considered that by even 'knowing' the future that by definition changes it?

Started writing a comment, but then realised I was repeating exactly what Jonathan said.

So: I agree with Jonathan.

shows do this a lot, its nothing all that strange, with a show like this especially where theres a lot of stuff to think out FAR in advance.

Have missed the last 3 weeks but caught FF again this week and was surprised how easy it was to get into - and how little things had moved on.

I'm going to stick with it till the end of the series, but there's no way they should be pushing a second. I can't see the story surviving being extended too far.

i'm not overly keen on flash forward but it's a poor thing that the networks keep doing this. for god's holy sake it doesn't hurt to at least let a show run it's course for a season before it gets binned.

I agree with Richard-I'm getting really tired of sites desperately trying to stir up trouble and eagerly examining each crumb of news in hopes that they can find some upcoming diseaster there. Flash Foward has already been renewed for a whole season-and hopefully,it'll be on the air for many more seasons. Stop theorising and just stick to giving us news...
