More X-Men: Days Of Future Past Plot Details Emerge
Vulture has a scoop on some X-Men: Days Of Future Past news that will be unveiled at Comic-Con later this week.
Although Fox hasn’t confirmed a Days Of Future Past presence at Comic-Con, it has promised a “major surprise” during the Fox panel on Saturday. That major surprise, reckons Vulture, is a sneak peek at the Bryan Singer-directed sequel/prequel (or whatever it is) with a dozen or so of the cast members on stage.
And there’s more. Vulture says that Peter Dinklage will be confirmed as playing Sentinels creator Bolivar Trask (which we’ve all suspected for some time), while Josh Helman will be revealed to be playing a younger Styker, the character played by Brian Cox in X-Men 2.
Vulture then goes on the fill in a few details about the plot: “In Singer’s take, Ellen Page returns as Kitty from the Brett Ratner–directed X-Men: The Last Stand, but this time she uses her powers to send Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine back into the past, where he encounters the younger mutants played by James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Michael Fassbender. However, something bad happens to Kitty during the time-travel trance, and while Wolverine is still under her spell, the other X-Men must race to find a mutant who can siphon Kitty’s powers and bring their friend back to the future.”
Hmm, seems Kitty has developed some new timey-wimey power we’d never previously been aware of. In the comic she simply sends her consciousness back in time from the future to warn the X-Men of a dystopian future that they can help avoid happening. The movie plot sounds like one of Steven Moffat’s idle daydreams.
Meanwhile, Bryan Singer’s latest tweet from the set reveals that Lucas Till be returning as Havok.
