Michael Bay Announces Megan Fox For Ninja Turtles Reboot
Maybe that much-publicised falling out between former Transformers star Megan Fox and director Michael Bay was never quite the big deal the press made out. Because now Bay has announced that Fox will be appearing on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot movie that he’ll be producing.
“TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!” Bay succinctly posted on his official website yesterday, before sitting back and waiting for the, “Will she be playing the Turtles’ human pal April O’Neil?” speculation to begin. And The Hollywood Reporter seems pretty certain she will be.
Meanwhile, other sites were speculating about Michael Bay’s use of the acronym “TMNT”, as previously it had been reported that the film was going to simply be called Ninja Turtles. We don’t reckon you should read too much into his use of “TMNT” – it’s more likely that if he had just posted “NT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!” people wouldn’t have known what he was on about, or presumed he was making a National Treasure sequel.
Ninja Turtles is set to be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath Of The Titans), from a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco. It is scheduled for release on 14 May 2014 in the States.
