• The TV version of Zombieland has completed its main cast, with the announcement that Kirk Ward will play Tallahassee. He joins Tyler Ross (as Columbus), Izabela Vidovic (Little Rock) and Maiara Walsh (Wichita). The TV version will be a series of 30 minute comedy episodes. [via Deadline]

• Matt Davis admits to TV Guide that playing Alaric on The Vampire Diaries was frustrating: “I had my creative differences along the way with the character, and while Julie Plec and I are dear, dear friends, she knew that… I’m very opinionated and when you’re put in a position where you’re getting the story lines that are not necessarily what’s cranking at the back of your mind or digging at the potential of your character and you have to sit on your hands, that’s frustrating. And being a secondary character is equally frustrating. So Julie saw a really great way to wrap up my character, which was in alignment with the end of my contract.”

• Disney has unveiled a “lost” image of Mickey Mouse from a never-completed 1938 animated short called “Mickey’s Toothache” (more on that over at Yahoo! News). The reveal is part of this year’s D23 Disney Fanniversary Celebration, and a hi-res version of the sketch will be available to download from here at some point later today.

• Rachelle Lefevre (the first Victoria in The Twilight Saga movies) has been cast in CBS’s ambitious Stephen King adaptation Under The Dome. She will play an investigative reporter living in the leafy town of Chester’s Mill, which inexplicably finds itself trapped beneath a massive, transparent barrier. The 13-episode drama is due to air this coming summer. [via TVLine]
