An alternate version of the Pacific Rim trailer – with a number of new shots – debuted at this year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) during a presentation by the company Qualcomm. Director Guillermo del Toro appeared on stage with Qualcomm boss Paul Jacobe to enthuse about how advancements in technology is helping filmmakers — things like cloud storage (he reckons he has 7,000 DVDS in the cloud now). He then treated everyone to this clip:
