• There’s a new trailer for unusual zombie flick Warm Bodies over at Coming Soon, which will play in the UK, but which we can’t embed on this site for “territory” reasons (how bizarre is that?). Anyway, feel free to go and have a butchers.

Star Wars Episode VII rumour of day: Derek Acorah has been in touch with the spirit of Sir Alec Guiness who says he loved to appear in the new Star Wars film – it would be like method acting now! No, seriously, the real rumour (is that tautology) of the day is that, according to Vulture, Toy Story 3 screenwriter Michael Arndt has turned in a detailed 50-page treatment for the sci-fi sequel and that it’s quite likely he’ll wind up drafting the screenplay.

• According to The Hollywood Reporter, Terminator Salvation director McG is set to helm a film based on the famous Hollywood night club, The Magic Castle, which 20th Century Fox will distribute. The venue dates back more than a century is most famous for spotlighting magicians and illusionists. It’s not clear yet what angle the film might take, but we’d say there’s a 50/50 chance it’ll be fantasy rather than some kind of biopic of a building.

The Fades and Doctor Who “The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe” director Farren Blackburn is set to make his feature film debut with Viking epic Hammer Of The Gods. Starring Charlie Bewley (The Twilight Saga) and James Cosmo (Game Of Thrones), it is set in the violent world of Viking Britain in 871 AD, where a young Viking warrior, Steinar is sent by his father the King on a quest to find his estranged brother, who was banished from the kingdom many years before. Steinar’s epic journey across hostile territory gradually sees him emerge as the man his father wants him to be – the ruthless and unforgiving successor to his throne. [Via Coming Soon]

• Here’s a trailer for Jurassic Park 3D. We’re not sure why. Without the 3D it’s just like a trailer for Jurassic Park (though we wwouldn’t have able to resist updating the tagline to, “65 million and 20 years in the making…”)

• Yahoo movies has posted the second Oz The Great And Powerful poster. A third one will be released next week. Apparently you’ll be able to put all three side by side, like a triptych, to create one big poster. [via Yahoo Movies]

Comic Book Movie has posted a new pic of a Warg from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, but doesn’t really know where it came from.

Skyfall has now passed The Dark Knight Rises to become the biggest grossing film in the UK in 2012.
