• Roberto Orci and Joe Hill (who wrote the original graphic novel) have both been Tweeting confirmation that Locke And Key (which was made as a TV pilot under the guidance and Orci and long-term writing partner Alex Kurtzman, but never picked up as a series by Fox) is now being developed as a movie trilogy. The Muppets 2 has a release date: 20 December 2013. Filming is expected to begin at Pinewood early next year and Bret McKenzie is once again providing some songs. [via Collider]

Doctor Who News has posted the Live+7 figures for thte five episodes of Doctor Who series 7a. The Live+7 figures give the total numbers viewing a programme within a week of transmission, including all watching on PVR, transmission repeats and on iPlayer. The average increase over initial overnight figures was 52% (3.07 million). The average for a BBC drama is 25%. The results in full were:

“Asylum Of The Daleks” 9.65 million (up from 6.39 million)
“Dinosaurs On A Spaceship” 8.64 million (up from 5.43 million)
“A Town Called Mercy” 9.22 million (up from 6.49 million)
“The Power Of Three” 8.68 million (up from 5.59 million)
“The Angels Take Manhattan” 8.92 million (up from 5.86 million)

• Will Champion, drummer with Coldplay, is set to make a cameo in season three of Game Of Thrones. It seems to be becoming a trend; Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody is also appearing on the show next year. [via WinterIsComing]

• While the latest US episode of Once Upon A Time saw an increase in viewers to a very healthy 10.1 million, 666 Park Avenue’s audience is continuing to plummet – on Sunday only 4.1 million tuned in. We’d be surprised if it weren’t axed soon.
