Bond Skyfall Has Second Biggest First Weekend Box Office In The UK Ever

James Bond’s 23rd* big screen adventure Skyfall has has a massive opening weekend at the box office in the UK.

Skyfall raked in $32.4 million, which is the second-biggest opening weekend ever there, trailing only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Although the film has yet to open in the US, it did well in the rest of the world too,  earning $77.7 million from 25 markets, opening in first place in each market.

Opening less impressively in the US was Cloud Atlas, which only managed third place in the North American box office with $9.4 million. That was behind Argo (which has been out three weeks in the US) and Hotel Transylvania (on its fifth week).
