The Vampire Diaries Is Going For Gold

The Vampire Diaries has cast Olympic gold-winning gymnast Gabby Douglas in a guest role for season four, reports TVLine. Which should delight her as it’s her favourite show.

Although there are no details about her role as yet, she will appear in episode seven.

An excited Nina Dobrev tweeted: “First thought at 530am when I woke up this morning: ‘What to wear when meeting an Olympian Gold Medallist?’”

There’s a bit of a mutual fan club thing going on. According to TVLine: “After cheering on Douglas during the Olympic games, several actors from the show made a video congratulating her and the U.S. team on cinching a gold medal (above).
