Ant-Man Test Footage May Be Released Online

Director Edgar Wright’s test footage for Ant-Man that excited the crowds at the San Diego Comic-Con may be getting a wider audience soon.

Marvel movie executive producer Victoria Alonso has told Omelete (reported and translated via Collider) that the footage is being cleaned up with an eye to release, in some format:

“What we showed at Comic-Con was a work in progress. We’re working on finishing it, and I think you might see it. Not sure where, but we always listen to the fans. And if the fans demand it we make sure they get it. I don’t know if we are going to post it online, but I don’t have [any reason] to believe we may not.”

(We suspect it may end up instead on a Blu-ray of a future Marvel movie release, probably only available in the US… or is that just cynicism?)

Wright is expected to start work on Ant-Man for Marvel once he has completed The World’s End, his third movie collaboration with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
