Is Bryan Singer’s Battlestar Galactica Movie Suddenly Looking More Likely?

SFX has been reporting on Bryan (X-Men) Singer’s proposed Battlestar Galactica movie since before Ron Moore successfully rebooted the ’70s show on TV. So we’d be surprised if you weren’t sceptical about its chances of ever happening.
However, we do still keep hearing rumours that it’s still development every now and then. Last we heard, screenwriter John Orloff had been brought on board, and that was back in October last year.
But could there be some real movement on the project at last?
Speaking to IGN, Singer says, “I have a script that’s in revisions right now, and it’s very cool… It will exist, I think, quite well between the Glen Larson and Ron Moore universes, but that’s all I want to say about it. But it’s evolving quite well, and quite recently. I’ve been developing this for a while, and certain things came to fruition recently, and I hope to do it.”
We’ll continue to file under “we’ll believe it when we see it” for the moment, but hey, this sounds more promising than ever before.
