Dreamwork’s upcoming Me And My Shadow will be a combination of CG and traditional hand-drawn animation. While the vast majority of the film will be CG, the “living” shadow will be created using the more traditional method.
Me And My Shadow is the full length feature film directorial debut of Alessandro Carloni, who has previously worked in various capacities on such Dreamworks fare as How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda. Featuring the voices of Josh Gad, Bill Hader and Kate Hudson, it’s about a shadow who yearns for a more exciting life, but is stuck with Stanley Grubb, a timid guy with an extreme aversion to adventure.
Me And My Shadow is due for worldwide release in spring 2014.
