• Tom Hardy tells The Hollywood Reporter where he got the inspiration for Bane’s accent in The Dark Knight Rises: “The choice of the accent is actually a man called Bartley Gorman, who was a bare knuckle fighter. A Romani gypsy. Which I wanted to underpin the Latin, but a Romani Latin opposed to Latino. His particular accent is very specific, which was a gypsy accent. So that’s why it was difficult to understand. But once you tune into it, you get it. I hope.”

The Hunger Games helmer Gary Ross is in talks with Disney to direct the big screen version of Peter And The Starcatchers, a prequel to Peter Pan written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pierson. [via The Hollywood Reporter]

• Following the fiasco of John Carter, director Andrew Stanton is heading back to familiar territory – Pixar has announced that he’s going to direct a sequel to Finding Nemo. The New York Times speculates that China – which has a quota on how many foreign films it allows to be shown in its cinemas per year – may be reluctant to screen Iron Man 3 with the Mandarin as the villain.
