Batman And Superman Set For Big Screen Team-Up*
Looks like Batman and Superman will finally be sharing some big screen time together, but not in a Justice League movie.
The two DC superheros will appear as supporting characters in an animated Lego movie – currently with the provisional title Lego: The Piece Of Resistance – that’s due for release in February 2014, from Warner Bros.
The film is being directed by 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and will take place in an animated Lego world but will have live-action components.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pratt has been cast as the lead voice, Will Arnett has nabbed the Batman vocal duties, and Channing Tatum is in talks to play Superman.
Pratt is voicing Emmet, “an ordinary, law-abiding, rules-following, perfectly average Lego mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary MasterBuilder. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.”
