Top science fiction author Kim Stanley Robinson – best known for his seminal Mars trilogy – will be doing a book signing at Topping & Company Booksellers in Bath on 8 June to promote his new tome, 2312. And whereas tickets normally sell for £8, if you book before 1 June and tell them SFX sent you, you can get your tickets for free!
2312 is set in our solar system exactly three centuries hence. A solar system in which mankind has left earth and discovered new habitats. Scientific advances have opened gateways to an extraordinary future. Earth is no longer our only home; new habitats have been created throughout the solar system, on moons, planets, and in between. But in 2312, a sequence of events forces mankind to confront its past, present, and future.
