New Blade Runner Movie Will Be A Sequel: Confirmed
Ridley Scott’s follow-up to Blade Runner will definitely be a sequel, Warners has confirmed. The company has revealed that the original movie’s scriptwriter, Hampton Fancher, is in talks to write the screenplay.
The new story will take place some years after the first film concluded.
Scott will also be producing the film alongside Alcon Entertainment’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, who say, “It is a perfect opportunity to reunite Ridley with Hampton on this new project, one in fact inspired by their own personal collaboration, a classic of cinema if there ever was one.”
One thing we will take a bet on, though – that the new film won’t be based on the KW Jeter’s Blade Runner 2: The Edge Of Human. [via Collider]
