• Rachel McAdams (Midnight In Paris) has replaced Zooey Deschanel as the female lead in writer/director Richard Curtis’s time travel movie About Time. [via The Hollywood Reporter]

• Anthony Hopkins will play a clairvoyant doctor who is enlisted by the police to help catch a serial killer in the movie Solace, to be directed by Brazilian Afonso Poyart for New Line. [via Variety]

Real Steel director Shawn Levy is in negotiations to direct the movie version of The 39 Clues, which had children scouring not just a series of 11 books, but collectable cards and on-lines games too to find the 39 clues to the mystery behind the most powerful family the world has ever known. • MGM is planning to develop a film version of Ray Bradbury’s From The Dust Returned, a 2001 anthology of short stories (with new linking material) about a Munsters-style family that he started writing in 1946. [via Deadline]

• Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee will be joining the ensemble cast of of RED 2. [via Coming Soon]

• Columbia is already planning Smurfs 3, even though Smurfs 2 has only just entered production. If you know anyone who paid to see The Smurfs and made this ongoing nightmare possible, please name and shame them in as public a place as possible. [via Variety]

• The Scary Movie team is planning its own version of The Hunger Games called The Starving Games. The level of wit put into the title is probably an indication of what to expect. [via Variety]
