I've finished Charlaine Harris's Definitely Dead. I'm really liking the Sookie Stackhouse books, though it irritates me when everyone gets all possessive over her.

I'm now halfway through J.D. Robb's Glory in Death. I like these books as well even if it is just glorified romance!

Tonight I shall mostly be reading Anthony Horowits's Alex Under Ground followed by a chaser of Dean Koontz's Odd Hours!

Just finished reading John Scalzi's 'Old Man's War', not a perfect read by any means but is one of those books where I was left wondering why I didn't pick it up sooner.
I got the feeling that life was perhaps a little too easy for our hero, John Perry, but the story itself more than made up for this with sympathetic characters, space battles and vicious alien races to spare. I can't wait to get into the rest of the series! My review is over Here.
I'm taking a break from sci-fi, for a bit, and am now reading 'Iron Kissed' by Patricia Briggs.

Halting State by Charles Stross. Once you get past the technobable its a disturbingly realistic look at online terrorism. Especially loved the idea of LARPs secretly being used to train spies!

I finished off the JD Robb book, read Christopher Rice's A Density of Souls and started Jim Butcher's Furies of Calderon last night. Hey, I couldn't sleep!

I was quite impressed by Christopher Rice, I thought I would hate it as I just can't stand Anne Rice. Definitely going to look out for his other books.

I've just finished reading Patricia Briggs' 'Iron Kissed', third in the 'Mercedes Thompson' series. It follows the same lines as the previous two books but avoids becoming repetitive by ramping up the action and the urgency. It's an entertaining read and I'm hoping there will be more to come. My full review is over Here.
I've never read anything by Steven Brust so I thought I'd give his new book, 'Jhegalla', a go next...

Just finished The Unquiet by John Connolly, a mix of crime and horror. Very dar and melancholy but soem very interesting characters. Next up as I was inspired by the trailer I'm rereading Watchmen.
