Default Latest book you bought

I went into Ottaker's the other day and bought:

Clash of the Sky Galleons, the latest of The Edge Chronicles by Paul Riddell - hardback, whoops, but couldn't wait.

Checkmate by Malorie Blackman, last of the Noughts & Crosses trilogy - been waiting a whole year for it to come out in paperback...

Wuthering Heights, because my drama group's putting on the play Bronte, about the three sisters, and the novel plays a large part in it, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

And finally Avalon High by Meg Cabot - it's chick lit! Based around Arthurian legend!! What's not to like?? ( ops: )

There was a time when I could go into a bookshop and just LOOK ROUND. Instead of coming out with FOUR BOOKS I WASN'T PLANNING ON GETTING.

 Meg Cabot?

I plan on getting the new Doctor Who novels tomorrow, they sound pretty good.

Then who knows, really should read some of the books I already have!

Nah....

I bought a copy of The Discworld Companion from Amazon - so I don't actually have it in my hands yet, but it's on its way...

This week I also bought a 2nd copy of a collection of short stories for grown ups by Roald Dahl - but I bought that for an American friend who lives in Germany and can't easily buy older English books...

I went completely mad today - wandered into the local Oxfam store and bought Pratchett's "Men at Arms" and "Feet of Clay", Tolkien's "Bilbo's Last Song" and Diana Wynne Jones' "Castle in the Air" - all for under £7 and in good nick...
