Avengers Assemble: Mysterious Last-Minute Extra Scene Shot

When Robert (Iron Man) Downey Jr revealed during the press jamboree surrounding Avengers Assemble yesterday that a new scene was being shot that night, the general reaction was, “Is he kidding?”

After all, the film was being screened for critics this week. Surely it was finished?

But now Mark (Hulk) Ruffalo has backed him up.

“We’re shooting a scene tonight,” he told The Playlist. “I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, ‘Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing.’”

Sound mighty intriguing if you ask us. Surely at this late stage it can only be a post- or during-credits extra scene? Anything else would require significant re-editing.

One thing’s for sure if the positive press reaction so far is anything to go by: it’s not a panic last minute reshoot!

Or maybe it is one big joke…?
