Could Netflix Save Terra Nova From Extinction?

Internet streaming service Netflix is in discussions with the producers of Terra Nova – 20th Television – in a bid to save the show, which was cancelled by Fox on Monday.

According to a source for The Hollywood Reporter the talks are in very early stages, but Netflix is currently beefing up its original programming, and famously revived another 20th Television property, Arrested Development, last November.

But before Terra Nova fans get too excited. let’s emphasise those words “talks are in very early stages” and also point out that whenever a show gets cancelled these days, there seems to rumours that Netflix is interested in it (V and The Event spring to mind – nothing came of either). And Arrested Development is a considerably cheaper show than Terra Nova…
