Comedians, writers and scientists including Clive Anderson, Terry Jones, Professor Brian Cox, Stephen Fry, Michael Palin and Gary Brooker will gather on 11 March at London’s Hammersmith Apollo to celebrate what would have been Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy creator Douglas Adams’s 60th birthday.

Tickets for the show are now available, with proceeds going towards the Save the Rhino charity, which Adams supported.

The event will also include a “special premiere performance” of Douglas material.

Stephen Fry and zoologist and wildlife photographer Mark Carwardine have recorded a special introduction about Douglas’ passion for conservation.

Douglas Adams died suddenly in 2001 aged 49 from a heart attack he suffered after a session at a gym in California.
