Alice Cooper To Play Himself In Dark Shadows

Considering the film’s set in ’72, it’s lucky he used to wear so much make-up

More Tim Burton news (we just posted some new pics from Frankenweenie). According to Hero Complex, wrinkly, snake-loving rocker Alice Cooper will be appearing as himself in Burton’s big screen remake of Dark Shadows.

Apparently, recently revived vampire Barnabas Collins (played by Johnny Depp) hires the rock star to play a private ball at his mansion in Maine. The film is partly set in 1972, and Cooper will be wearing his trademark make-up of the time, which should help disguise 40 years of a rock star life style.

During the shoot, Depp even found time to play guitar alongside Cooper on stage at a gig in London. Wonder if Burton and Cooper swapped notes about hair stylists?
