The Spectre Heading For TV

Fox is developing a show based on the classic DC character

Fox is developing a small screen version of the classic DC superhero, The Spectre.

According to Deadline, Brandon Camp (John Doe) will write the adaptation and executive produce with Bill Gerber (Gran Torino). The show will center on “a former cop serving time in afterlife limbo who hunts down earthly criminals on behalf of the dead — and mortals soon to be dead, if ultimate justice is not served.”

The character was co-created by Superman creator Jerry Siegel and Bernard Baily, and first appeared in More Fun Comics #52 in 1940.
