Juliet E McKenna to attend Weekender 3

You can meet top author Juliet E McKenna at next year’s live SFX event in Prestatyn

Literature fans will be well served by 2012’s SFX Weekender festival in North Wales. Taking place 2-5 February, this is the third Weekender and as before we’re celebrating the written word as much as comics or TV. We’re very pleased to announce that Juliet E McKenna will be there this year. Juliet is a fantasy author whose first novel, The Thief’s Gamble, was published in 1999. She’s written three complete series of books: The Tales Of Einarinn, The Aldabreshin Compass and The Chronicles Of The Lescari Revolution, as well as many short stories and articles – you can read a blog from Juliet on the SFX site here. The Hadrumal Crisis is her latest series, beginning with Dangerous Waters which came out this year.

She will be joining other recently announced authors who’ll be making the Weekender ring with the sound of lively debate and good humour: writer guests so far are Tony Lee, Paul Cornell, Peter F Hamilton, Robert Rankin, Dan Abnett and Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
