Alan Dale Cast In Once Upon A Time
He’ll be Prince Charming’s Dad in the new TV series, and creates yet another link between the show and Lost
Alan Dale, probably best known to Americans as Charles Widmore on Lost, but forever Jim Robinson from Neighbours to the rest of us, has been cast as Prince Charming’s dad in ABC’s big new fantasy show Once Upon A Time (thus creating another notch on his telefantasy bed-post).
“It’s a really pivotal role, and a pivotal part of the Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming story that we don’t think has been told yet,” Horowitz tells TVLine, adding that Dale is booked for one episode “but we’re leaving the door open for a larger tale to potentially tell with him.”
It’s yet another link between Lost and the new show, which has been created by Lost producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, who are also the showrunners. We’re also promised lots of Lost-flavoured “Easter eggs” in Once Upon A Time, such as a clock stuck at 8:15 and a Geronimo Jackson bumper sticker.
