True Blood Season Five
It’s not a done deal yet, but looking very likely, and showrunner Alan Ball teases one of the storylines they’ll be exploring
True Blood season five has not been officially given the green light by HBO yet, but considering that showrunner Alan Ball announced at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour in Beverly Hills yesterday that he recently “closed a deal to do another year,” we reckon there will be more episodes in 2012.
“Everything ends, and there will be an end for me on this show at some point,” he’s reported as saying on TVLine. “But I don’t have any desire to leave because I’m having more fun than I have in my entire life.”
Ball also revealed that the writing staff is already breaking stories on the fifth season, which will “explore how one of the vampires was made,” as well as introduce new characters. Oh good grief, not more new characters. Dear god, no more shapeshifters please… What about trolls? You get every other kind of supernatural being on TV at the moment, but where are the trolls? Equal rights for trolls! (Well, it can’t get any sillier than those fairies, surely?)
