Doctor Who Wii Game A Disaster Too
If you thought the Doctor Who DS game was getting some pretty rough reviews, wait till you hear what the games mags are saying about the Wii game, Doctor Who Return To Earth. According to a 19% review in Offical Nintnedo Magazine, it was, “Clearly made by people who hate games, sci-fi, and everything decent about humanity.” Click here for the full review.

Denis Leary Joins Spider-Man
Actor Dennis Leary (star of TV’s Rescue Me) is in negotiations to play police chief George Stacy, father of Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) love interest Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Previously the character was played by James Crowmell in Spider-Man 3.

Robert Downey Jr Drops Out Of Gravity
Director Alfonso Cuaron’s SF thriller Gravity, the film that’s been playing musical female leads (it’s already worked its way through Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman and Sandra Bullock) his now lost its male lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr has now dropped out of the film in favour of How To Talk To Girls. Downey is also still attached to star in Sam Raimi’s Oz, the Great and Powerful, which is supposed to begin filming sometime next summer, and the adventure film Yucatan. Oh, and somehow he has to fit in The Avengers as well.

Paranormal Activity 3
Yep, despite revealing no news about a director or writer, Paramount has already announced that Paranormal Activity 3 will be in the cinemas on 21 October 2011. You can’t blame them after Paranormal Activity 2 cost a mere $3 million and has currently $157 million worldwide. That’s some profit margin. But what will the next one be? A pre-prequel? An equal? A sequel?

Zemeckis Will Not Remake Oz
Spokespeople for Robert (Back To The Future) Zemeckis have vehemently denied that he will be directing Warner Bros’ remake of The Wizard Of Oz, reports The Wrap.

Clooney Could Be UNCLE’s Solo
The Hollywood Reporter reckons that George Clooney is the frontrunner to play Napoleon Solo in the big screen remake of The Man From UNCLE. As Steven Soderbergh is currently attached to the project as director, this would see him reteaming with his Oceans Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen star. But it has be mentioned, The Man From UNCLE film has been in development for years and gone through a number of director/writer teams, so there’s no guarantee that either Clooney or Soderbergh will eventually make the final movie.

Caribbean Team To Create Magical Law Show
The director and one of the writers of the first three Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, Gore Verbinski and Terry Rossio, are developing a new fantasy TV drama for Fox currently being called Magical Law. According to Vulture, “it takes place in a Harry Potter–esque world where supernatural beings are part of the fabric of everyday life. Somebody’s got to keep those all-powerful types under control, and Magical Law, to be penned by Rossio, revolves around the cops and lawyers charged with prosecuting otherworldly crimes.” Law And Order: Hogwarts, anyone?
