Plans For TV Series of Gaiman’s Sandman
And even more excitingly, former supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke could be in charge of the adaptation
Neil Gaiman’s seminal comic creation The Sandman is in the early stages of being adapted for TV, with former Supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke possibly in charge, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog.
“Warner Bros. TV is in the midst of acquiring television rights from sister company DC Entertainment and in talks with several writer-producers about adapting the 1990s comic,” reckons the site. “At the top of the list is Eric Kripke, creator of the CW’s horror-tinged Supernatural.”
So, sounds like it’s a long way from a done deal, and the article also hints that Kripke is aware is the project could be a poison chalice – scrutinised by fans at every level – but hey, we can dream, right? (See what we did there?)
