In spite of F.Paul Wilson's dire opinions of the film, I'm sure his books have garnered many more fans because of the film being released. Standout performances from Sir Ian McKellen, Jurgen Prochnow, and Gabriel Byrne make this film compelling viewing. The Tangerine Dream soundtrack has become much sought after on CD with only limited releases direct from TDs website and some bootlegs. It's a cult goldmine for the studio if they would only just see it as that. The series 'Search' and it's pilot film 'Probe' is also definitely in need of a DVD release. The show pioneered the concepts of miniature electronic surveillance using the ubiquitous 'scanner', and telemetry implants for the shows rotating leading Probe Agents, Hugh O'Brien, Tony Franciosa, and Doug McClure. Burgess Meredith was brilliant as Mission Coordinator Cameron. Harve Bennet produced.
