Summer Glau Cast In The Cape

Firefly star will play Orwell, a character determined to discover the true identity of a new superhero on the block

Summer (Firefly/Sarah Connor Chronicles) Glau has nabbed a role in the new NBC superhero pilot, The Cape. She will play an “intrepid investigative blogger” known as “Orwell”, based in a penthouse lair overlooking the city, who is determined to track down The Cape, a new superhero who’s suddenly appeared in Palm City. He’s actually Vince Faraday (played by David Lyons), an ex-cop who’s turned mask to fight bad guys and “dirty cops” in Palm City. But it’s a bit more complicated than that… Y’see, the cops and the bad guys think that Vince is actually a supervillain known as Chess. And when Orwell discover the truth, she becomes The Cape’s first ally. All sounds very high concept.
