Hehe Cylon 6..... They are not direct quotes, but in SFX he does mention that it's a little bit Hammer Horror so that did get me excited, and from what we have seen in his other scripts, he makes the familiar scary which does hark back to some vintage brit horror and TV.....and lets face it the HInchcliffe/Holmes period of Doctor Who was full of references to past horror and sci fi, as was early Pertwee...but that is what makes it so accessible...we know the stories, myths and legends already..so it's always nice to see a new curve on them. At the moment Im going back and watching all the previous Moffat stories to ready myself to what Im sure is going to be a promising new start to Doctor Who.

I for one cannot wait to see the new version of Doctor Who. Matt Smith and the rest of the team seem to be having a ball with the new series and Steven Moffat's talk of Hammer stuff and old fashioned Doctor Who that will put 40 year old kids behind the sofa certainly interests me, although might have to buy a bigger sofa.

I really can't wait to see the debut of The Eleventh Doctor. The first story and what might happen throughout the series is intriguing.

Kevin Gall says:

I can't hold in my excitement much longer so Matt Smith's turn as the Doctor can't come soon enough! Is there a release date for the first episode yet?
