Dave Bradley, Editor-in-Chief
This is who you’d meet if you demanded, “Take me to your leader”.

Email: dbradley@futurenet.co.uk

Biography: Londoner Dave migrated west across the country in the 1990s to study medieval literature (don’t ask) and then to pursue a career writing, later editing, computing magazines. A lifelong SF fan, he joined SFX in May 2005 when the mag needed a new captain in the big chair, rejoicing at his chance to combine those years of magazine know-how with his absurd love of ’80s fantasy movies.

Favourite SF/fantasy films: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hawk the Slayer.

Favourite SF/fantasy TV: Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, The X-Files, Heroes, Medium.

Likes: Coffee, chicken biryani, Parisian cafés, video games with decent plots.

Dislikes: DIY, soccer, invertebrates as food, slackers (get back to work!)

Nick Setchfield, Features Editor
Commissions the features and profiles in the magazine.

Email: nick.setchfield@futurenet.co.uk

Biography: Born to roam the world in pursuit of fabulous lost treasures but too attached to the concept of hot and cold running water. Lover, adventurer, poet and delusional fantasist.

Favourite SF/fantasy TV: Doctor Who, The Avengers, American Gothic.

Dislikes: Endless hairy guitar solos, grapefruit juice, chip shop people who skimp on the salt and vinegar, the death of the great pop single.

Ian Berriman, Reviews Editor
Organises all our reviews of the latest films, DVDs, books and tat…

Email: ian.berriman@futurenet.co.uk

Biography: Belligerent tyke Ian was briefly a researcher on some truly dreadful daytime TV programmes, working with legends like Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen and Cheryl Baker. He freelanced for SFX for a couple of years before joining the team full-time in March 2002.

Favourite SF/fantasy TV: Doctor Who, Star Trek, The Prisoner, Buffy, Angel, Sapphire And Steel, Firefly, Misfits, True Blood, Being Human.

Dislikes: Pomposity, Leeds United, Heat magazine, the smell of tuna, people who wear sunglasses on top of their heads, blazing summer heat, hippy nonsense, grocers’ apostrophes.

Russell Lewin, Production Editor
Reads every single word in SFX, usually three or four times, checking they make sense/are factually correct/are funny/are legal. All the captions you like are written by him (all the ones you don’t aren’t).

Email: russell.lewin@futurenet.com

Biography: Born and bred in Newcastle Upon Tyne, then headed to London for uni and stayed there for far too long working on everything from Capital Radio to FHM to the Sunday Times to Kerrang! to Marie Claire… to all sorts of other crazy things.
