Is Ridley’s new SF movie Brave New World?
Yesterday we reported that Ridely Scott was dropping hints that he was planning an SF movie, but would not confirm what it was. However, the internet being the internet, nothing is secret for long, and a site called Row Three has highlighted a Times Online article from March which suggests the project he might be talking about is a big screen version of Aldous Huxley’s visionary 1932 novel Brave New World, which has been in development at Universal for a while now. The book is set in a dystopian future in which humans are born in hatcheries and shagging is purely a recreational activity. Okay, everyone could be putting two and two together and making sex, but it sounds like a cool director/movie combination to us.
