The Green Mile

Clearly this was a early test shot for the CG Tom Hanks in The Polar Express. Or maybe it’s the little known Gerry Anderson version of The Green Mile? This plastic-hued Hanks is just downright spooky. But other than that, the poster’s… bobbins, frankly. As beige as a Star Trek: Next Gen Enterprise set it makes the film look about as exciting as watching tea go cold. Brown is not a good colour for posters. Brown is the colour of excrement, and that’s not the subliminal message you want to send out. There must be a Hollywood poster design materclass where rule one is “NO BROWN POSTERS!” And if Paul’s seen a miracle, he could at least look pleased about it.
