Universal’s Orlando Resort has officially announced that it intends to open a Harry Potter-based theme park in 2009, called “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”.
Plans apparently include taking locations from the book series (you may have heard of it), like the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogsmeade Village and the Forbidden Forest.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling said, “The plans I’ve seen look incredibly exciting, and I don’t think fans of the books or films will be disappointed.”
This park will enable visitors to see locations made famous in the novels, such as the Hogsmeade shops, Dumbledore’s office and even locations from the final book.
Maybe there should be a Basilisk water slide or a Hippogriff-themed rollercoaster… Just a thought.
